Join MCF, along with the Black Collection Foundation MN and Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies, for a Minnesota-specific discussion about the recent decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals against the Fearless Fund. During this briefing, we will focus on ongoing questions and legal implications the decision raises for Minnesota's field of philanthropy. In advance of our conversation, learn more about the lawsuit against the Fearless Fund as well as reactions from ABFE and IF/COF.

Our presenters will provide insights and reactions about the decision against the Fearless Fund. They will contextualize these themes as they relate to foundation strategies and DEI commitments. They will share considerations and legal insights about issues related to grantmaking, employment, data collection, and the impact on philanthropy’s nonprofit partners.

Presenters:

  • Lulete Mola, President and Co-Founder, Black Collective Foundation MN
  • Elizabeth Borer, Mohamed Sabur, and Collin BallouMargaret A. Cargill Philanthropies

Log-in details will be provided in your confirmation email. For additional information, please reach out to Paul Masiarchin, pmasiarchin@mcf.org.
