Join the Minnesota Climate Table to learn more about Minnesota's labor movement, priorities, relationship to climate justice, and how we can collaborate more effectively.

This learning session includes a tour of two training centers: The Carpenters Training Institute and the Saint Paul Pipefitters Training Center. Minnesota's building trades unions spend tens of millions of dollars annually on apprenticeship training programs to teach industry entrants how to become professional craftspeople. Understanding their training programs can help shed light on and shape our understanding of unions' policy priorities, how they adapt to changing industries, how they wrestle with racial equity, and much more.

We will tour an active apprenticeship training center, listen to presentations by several local unions on how their unions interact with the fight to address climate change, ask questions, and enjoy an informal lunch together.
