Minnesota Civic Resilience Fund – Open for Applications!

In an effort to protect democratic participation and bolster community voice, applications have opened for the Minnesota Civic Resilience Fund. Housed at MCF, this one-time, pooled fund is dedicated to strengthening long-term civic infrastructure and supporting nonpartisan voter engagement across the state.

The fund will provide a total of $300,000 in grant funding, awarding $25,000 grants to 12 selected organizations

Purpose and Priorities

The Minnesota Civic Resilience Fund aims to strengthen voter participation and civic confidence, particularly ahead of the 2026 election. The fund will support strategies that:

  • Build Civic Capacity: Expand nonpartisan voter engagement activities and build community power.
  • Promote High Turnout: Share accurate, nonpartisan information with voters statewide.
  • Defend Voting Rights: Support sustained election preparedness, protect election rules and infrastructure, and ensure election officials can administer voting safely and fairly.

How to Apply  

Funding is available to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations (or fiscally sponsored nonprofit organizations) conducting nonpartisan voter education, community organizing, legal advocacy, or efforts to counter disinformation.
