Join us for a meeting of the Independent Foundation Professionals Network. This network is for MCF members who work at private independent foundations and are interested in discussing the unique issues and opportunities for private foundations that are not led by a family-focused board of directors.

For our June gathering, we'll start by spending a few minutes talking about two articles focused on capacity building:

The theme of these articles is certainly not a new idea - yet, this theme continues to resonate across the charitable sector. Some thoughts to consider:

  • Are there elements of the articles that resonate for you in your work?
  • What's accurate about the articles? What's hard to do? What are easy adaptations?
  • Whatever role you're in, how do these themes impact your work?

After the kick-off conversation, we'll open the floor to your conversation topics. The conversation will be led by attendees; plan to be actively engaged and use your webcam, if you’re comfortable doing so.

You’re welcome to join as your schedule allows, for the full 75-minutes or for just a few minutes. Save the dates for all of our 2024 gatherings: April 3, June 12, September 11, and November 20.

Do you have a suggestion for a topic at a future meeting? Send ideas to Paul Masiarchin, pmasiarchin@mcf.org. This is an MCF members-only briefing. Log-in details will be provided in your confirmation email.
