Join your fellow MCF members for a discussion focused on climate, disaster, and community resilience. This event will feature Kate Knuth, who serves as the Climate Director for the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) and previously served as the Chief Resilience Officer for the City of Minneapolis. The MPCA chairs the Governor’s Climate Change Subcabinet, which is charged with implementing Minnesota’s Climate Action Framework.

In this meeting, we’ll learn more about the state’s work on climate action and community resilience and how that work is currently being structured and implemented. We’ll also dig into the best role(s) philanthropy can play with government and nonprofit partners working in this arena, as well as some of the challenges, opportunities, politics, and more that can emerge. As we move toward a future that is more impacted by climate change and disasters, this discussion is meant to help MCF and its members consider how we can partner and contribute to increased community resilience.

This meeting is co-hosted by the Minnesota Disaster Philanthropy Working Group and the MN Climate Donor Table. All MCF members are welcome to attend.

Log-in details will be provided in your confirmation email. For additional information, please reach out to Katina Mortensen at
