MCF Member Briefing: Impact of 2023 Legislative Session on Nonprofits

“Transformational”, “historic”, and ”remembered for years to come,” are words that some have used to describe the 2023 Legislative Session. The $72 billion budget that Minnesota lawmakers passed is a 38% increase from our current biennial budget and the largest, by far, in state history.

Join MCF, Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies (MACP), and Hylden Advocacy and Law for a member briefing outlining legislative appropriations that occurred in the 2023 session, with a particular emphasis on resources the state directed to nonprofits. Nancy Hylden, of Hylden Advocacy and Law, will present a report prepared for MACP in partnership with MCF, and Terri Thao, of MACP, will discuss how philanthropy can support implementation of these resources.
