MCF Member Briefing: Immigrant Defense Network

Join MCF for a briefing about how to support immigrant communities during an ever-changing and challenging political landscape. Amidst the anti-immigration policies being pushed at the federal level and state challenges, Minnesota’s communities are taking a stand.

We will be joined by leaders from the Immigrant Defense Network (IDN) an alliance of over 90 immigrant, labor, legal, faith, and community organizations dedicated to protecting and advancing the constitutional rights of immigrant communities across Minnesota. IDN leaders will share how they have organized to keep communities safe and how they are working towards a Minnesota where we all can live with dignity and without fear. 

We will also be joined by philanthropic peers who have stepped up to support immigrant rights and protection. Speakers will discuss the duty and role philanthropy must play to ensure immigrant communities are empowered and protected. 

Attendees will gain an understanding of the current and ongoing threats to Minnesota’s immigrant communities, learn about the incredible work of the Immigrant Defense Network and their resources, and be able to identify steps they can take to support his work.
