Why Should MCF Members Share Grantmaking Data?
By sharing your grantmaking data each year, you help MCF create the annual Giving in Minnesota report, the most current and comprehensive guide to philanthropic activity in our state. You take control of your data, ensuring it is submitted in a timely fashion and accurately reflects your priorities and intent. Submitting your data also provides you with access to exclusive information about Minnesota's philanthropic giving.
When you submit your data to Candid, you:
- Get access to your own interactive digital grant map (private to you)
- Get access to a Minnesota-specific grant map (available only to MCF members)
- Enable MCF to generate the Giving in Minnesota report (publicly available; and more accurate when your data is included)
When is the Data Submission Deadline?
Please submit your organization’s 2021 and 2022 data to Candid by July 30, 2023, by following the steps below.

Step 1: Complete the Candid grants data template with your 2021 and 2022 giving data
Step 2: Email the completed template to egrants@candid.org
