Share Your Data

Learn how to submit your annual grantmaking data for MCF's research.

Why Should MCF Members Share Grantmaking Data?

By sharing your grantmaking data each year, you help MCF create the annual Giving in Minnesota report, the most current and comprehensive guide to philanthropic activity in our state. You take control of your data, ensuring it is submitted in a timely fashion and accurately reflects your priorities and intent. Submitting your data also provides you with access to exclusive information about Minnesota's philanthropic giving.

When you submit your data to Candid, you:

  • Contribute to Minnesota's regional dashboard, updated in real time by Candid, visualizing Minnesota giving priorities, populations served, strategies and more
  • Receive a subscription to Foundation Maps, allowing you to view and search all of Candid's grants data
  • Get access to a Minnesota-specific grant map (available only to MCF members)
  • Enable MCF to generate the Giving in Minnesota report (publicly available; and more accurate when your data is included)
