In early 2023, MCF’s Corporate Community Affairs Network members responded to a survey about the current status of their corporate employee volunteer programs. Participants responded to five questions, posed by JoAnn Birkholz, Executive Director of the Medica Foundation.
Two dozen corporate programs shared information about the following questions:
- Dollars for Doers: Does your company offer a program to incentivize volunteer activity? If so, what does that program look like?
- Corporate Match: Doe your company provide any financial matching funds for employee donations? Also, how does your company support employees with a corporate match for overall giving (i.e., employee giving campaign)?
- Board Service: Does your company support their executives and employees that serve on nonprofit boards?
- VTO (Volunteer Time Office): Do you provide or incentivize paid time for employees to volunteer?
- Reporting/Tracking System: What system(s) do you use for volunteerism and employee giving? Do you have recommendations?
- Any additional information to share.
