Government Relations and Public Policy Committee

Government Relations and Public Policy Committee

MCF's Government Relations and Public Policy Committee develops proposals and recommends public policy actions to the MCF Board of Directors. The committee is reponsible for MCF's Public Policy Compendium and the Annual Advocacy Agenda.  The committee is also responsible for MCF's “Public Policy Playbook” which establishes the framework for our advocacy and public policy work.

The committee is comprised of MCF members. Representatives from community stakeholders that share an interest in MCF’s public policy work may be appointed as liaisons to the committee. Members are appointed annually by the committee's co-chairs. The co-chairs are selected annually by the MCF board. In addition to developing MCF's advocacy and public policy agenda and services, the committee co-chairs and members actively participate in MCF advocacy and member service activities and provide leadership to encourage MCF member involvement.
