Beginning in the 2024-25 academic year,  the North Star Promise Program offers an on-going, state funded tuition and fee-free pathway to higher education for eligible Minnesotans. As a “last-dollar” program, the North Star Promise covers the remaining balance of tuition and fees after other scholarships, grants, stipends and tuition waivers have been applied. Join this session to learn about the North Star Promise and understand how its funding pathways operate.

Funders who offer scholarships or other incentives for college students will gain clarity around the ways that philanthropic dollars can augment North Star Promise. Together, we can begin to envision opportunities for philanthropy to support a strong ecosystem for Minnesotans to access higher education. Find detailed descriptions of the NSP program on the Office of Higher Education website.

The presentation will be led by Meghan Flores, Manager, State Financial Aid Programs, Minnesota Office of Higher Education, with remarks from Kyrra Rankine, Executive Director, Graves Residency, Graves Foundation.

Log-in details will be provided in your confirmation email. For additional information, please reach out to Paul Masiarchin, [email protected].
