MCF Member Briefing: The State of Minnesota's Nonprofit Sector

Wednesday, February 26, 2020 9:00am - 11:00am CST
Northwest Area Foundation, 60 Plato Blvd # 400, St Paul, MN 55107

In order for Minnesota’s philanthropic community to have the greatest impact, we need knowledge and insights about the nonprofit sector. This MCF members-only briefing will provide an opportunity to dig into the latest data, trends and issues impacting Minnesota’s nonprofit sector. We’ll examine details about nonprofit finance and funding including sector growth, employment statistics, and trends impacting the missions of our state’s charitable organizations. Bring your insights and questions as we engage in a robust conversation about the current state of the nonprofit sector.

This conversation will be led by nonprofit luminaries, Kate Barr, President, Propel Nonprofits and Jon Pratt, Executive Director, Minnesota Council of Nonprofits (MCN). Together, they bring vast experience leading nonprofit organizations, guiding the sector’s growth, and promoting public engagement in the charitable sector.

Molly Matheson Gruen will facilitate the conversation. As a board member of MCN and Program Operations Director at the Bush Foundation, Molly brings a valuable cross-sector perspective to the conversation.
