Join MCF for a briefing on nonprofit sector legal needs in the current federal context. In this briefing, you’ll learn about two complementary initiatives to meet the evolving and enormous legal challenges that Minnesota nonprofits are currently experiencing. Minnesota philanthropy has the opportunity to partner to stand up efforts that serve the sector as a whole, with a focus on nonprofits that are most at risk and experiencing the most harm from federal actions.

In this briefing, you’ll learn about how MN Lead is supporting nonprofits and grantmakers in their legal needs around race-conscious and race-explicit programming or grantmaking, and how the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits and LegalCORPS aim to provide a broader and complementary set of legal services to support the diverse legal needs of the sector as a whole. Together, these two efforts would meaningfully equip Minnesota’s nonprofit sector with the legal supports and resources it needs to effectively navigate the current context. This briefing will also include an update on MCF’s MN Legal Fund and a discussion on what is needed from philanthropy to bring these legal resources to life at the scale that this moment requires.

Log-in details will be provided in your confirmation email. For additional information, please reach out to Katina Mortensen at [email protected].
