MCF Member Briefing: Honing Your Learning and Evaluation Practices

Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies recently completed a process to better understand and improve their learning and evaluation practices. They led a project to gather feedback from consultants who had done learning and evaluation work with their Program and Evaluation & Organizational Learning teams over the past decade.  Consultants shared their perspectives on what they have observed about MACP’s evaluation approaches, which approaches worked best, and where MACP could strengthen practices. Using that feedback, the EOL team invited cross team learning about their evaluation and learning over the decade so that teams can bring forward what worked best for the future.

Hear from Liz Kruger and Pam Nippolt from Evaluation & Organizational Learning at Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies about their top takeaways from the feedback they received, how asking for feedback adds value to foundation’s learning and evaluation practices, and lessons they want to share with others doing evaluation and learning work in foundation settings. Bring your own experiences and questions for discussion.

This event is held in partnership with MCF's Learning and Evaluation Network.
