Once a resilient and vibrant community, mainstream investors have ignored North Minneapolis. Now, impact-oriented investors are waking up to the missed opportunities for investors and the community. Join us to learn about four community-centric investment opportunities. Focus areas include youth development, health, and job creation in the Northside of Minneapolis.

Through this session, funders and impact investors can learn about investment opportunities for mission aligned investments including Program Related Investments (PRIs), below market rate loans, patient capital, and other philanthropic support. Together, we can explore possible opportunities for shared diligence and other forms of cooperation that will speed the process, ease the burden on community partners, and help direct more funds to key community needs.

Ambar Hanson, Executive Director, Mortenson Family Foundation will host the conversation, joined by Amy Jensen, Chief Investment Officer, The Lansing Group; and Mark Mortenson, President, The Lansing Group and Chief Investment Officer, M.A. Mortenson Company. MCF staff and Executive in Residence, Susan Hammel will be on hand to facilitate our collective next steps.

Representatives from four Northside enterprises will join us virtually to share their capital needs:

  • NEON
  • RiverNorth
  • V3 Sports
  • Youthprise

Breakfast will be provided, compliments of Mortenson Family Foundation. Please reach out to Paul Masiarchin with questions, pmasiarchin@mcf.org.
