Please join the Disaster Philanthropy Working Group for a preview of the 2026 Minnesota Legislative Session, including discussion of the Funding for Local Emergency Management bill (House File 2099 / Senate File 2119) and the Minnesota Weather Radar Gaps bill (House File 697 / Senate File 530). We will hear from:

  • Blain Johnson, Emergency Management Director with Lac qui Parle County and Government Affairs Chair with the Association of Minnesota Emergency Managers
  • Ace Bonnema, Emergency Manager Director with Kandiyohi County and Radar Gap Subcommittee Co-chair with the Association of Minnesota Emergency Managers
  • Tara Leigh Goode, VP, Strategic Partnerships & Radar Operations at Climavision

Disaster Philanthropy Working Group meetings and events are open to any MCF member who is interested in funding within the disaster response, recovery and resilience focus area. Prior participation in the Working Group is not required.
