8:30am - 9:45am CDT

Join us for a meeting of the Corporate Community Affairs Professionals Network.

1. During this webinar, we will discuss current issues around how our organizations are impacted by and responding to the pandemic, the economic recession and the movement for Black lives. We'll start the conversation hearing from Deborah Morris York, Senior Manager, Community Relations, Best Buy Foundation. Deborah will share an update about how the Best Buy Foundation is shifting some of its work, given the current needs of communities.

2. After Deborah's kick-off framing, we'll engage with the full group to hear how others are shifting in the current environment. Attendees should plan ahead by bringing questions, concerns  and promising ideas to share with peers. Discussion themes may include:

  • Changes in your organization’s grantmaking
  • Response and recovery
  • Personal well-being and mental health
  • Navigating the response of corporate philanthropy within a complex business
  • Other related topics

3. During the final 30 minutes of the session, we’ll engage in a conversation about inclusive volunteerism with guest Lisa Joyslin, Program Manager for Inclusive Civic Volunteerism, Minnesota Association for Volunteer Administration.

The conversation will be led by attendees; plan to be actively engaged and use your webcam, as you’re able. Log-in details will be available in your confirmation email.

This network is for MCF members who work in corporate philanthropy and are interested in discussing the unique issues and opportunities of corporate grantmaking. Corporate Community Affairs Professionals Network meetings generally take the form of informal learning from one another around a pre-determined discussion topic, with space on the agenda for updates and other timely discussion. This is a member-only meeting. Do you have suggestions for future meetings? Send them to Paul at!
