CEO Chat: State of the Council with Michelle Maryns, President of MCF

MCF is excited to relaunch its CEO Chat series, offering an inside look at the priorities and strategic decisions of Minnesota’s philanthropic community. These free, virtual conversations provide a unique opportunity to connect directly with foundation leaders, ask questions, and engage in candid dialogue about the challenges and opportunities facing the sector.

Join us for the first CEO Chat of 2026, on the state of the Council, as we welcome Michelle Maryns, who stepped into the role of MCF President this past August. In this session, Michelle will share more about her personal vision, values, and approach to leadership. She will also provide a preview of 2026 priorities—including EBDI (Equity, Belonging, Diversity & Inclusion), RUBI (Rural Urban Bridging Initiative), Press Forward, and the Minnesota Legal Fund—highlighting the organization’s direction in the year ahead.

Aaron Zimmerman, MCF Board Chair, and Flor Treviño Frey, MCF Board Vice Chair, will also join the conversation.
