Grassroots Solutions and SWEL completed an assessment to better understand how best to engage in and strengthen capacity-building for the field.

Shortly after data collection began, they quickly learned that the gaps in the capacity-building process between the existing service provider sector and the groups who needed their services were complex, and that fundraising capacity was in a class by itself in terms of expressed organizational need.
