2025 Data From 16 Minnesota Companies: Staff Thresholds to Approve Grants

In June 2025, MCF members responded to a survey question about the grant approval process, "What is your company's threshold for staff to approve grants, without board approval?" Sixteen corporate foundations and corporate giving programs responded to the survey. Anonymized results are shared in this attached PDF document.

Across the sixteen companies, the average threshold for staff approval of grants was $55,625. The most common cited threshold (mode) cited by five companies was $25,000.
