Serve on the MCF Board or a Committee

Together, We Are MCF

The Minnesota Council on Foundations (MCF) is an association of grant makers working to advance prosperity and equity through connecting, mobilizing and strengthening the field of philanthropy in Minnesota.  More than 150 members represent grantmaking throughout the state, providing millions of dollars and non-financial resources to nonprofits annually. Members include family and private independent foundations, community foundations, grant-making public charities, and corporate foundations and giving programs.

Lead With Us

MCF welcomes philanthropy professionals who bring diverse experience and perspectives to how they connect, strengthen and mobilize their voice – with a strong pulse on the needs of communities they serve.

MCF seeks candidates who are committed to collectively advancing prosperity and equity, while upholding values of diversity, equity and inclusion forward as catalysts within their field. The MCF Governance Committee will develop a slate of candidates to be approved by the membership in December.

  • Willingness to govern in ways that are aligned with MCF’s commitment to become an anti-racist organization
  • Open-mindedness to engage with others whose experience and perspectives differ from their own
