MCF Board Nominations

Minnesota Council on Foundations (MCF) is pleased to announce the Call for Nominations for the 2020 Board of Directors.

The Call for Nominations is now open and we are seeking candidates for up to eight open positions for terms beginning in January 2020. Please consider nominating yourself or someone you think would be a great addition to the MCF board.

Nominations are due by October 8, 2019

Joining the Minnesota Council on Foundations board of directors is a unique leadership opportunity for Minnesota’s philanthropic community. Through this volunteer service, members have the opportunity to influence the strategy and direction for MCF, provide leadership to MCF committees, and build relationships with other philanthropic leaders, from all types of foundations, who share MCF’s commitment to advancing prosperity and equity. Board terms are three years. Board members typically serve two 3-year terms. Nominees must be a trustee, staff member, or a chair or member of an official committee of a MCF member organization.

  • Candidates who live or have close working connections with rural/Greater Minnesota communities
  • Candidates who are early in their philanthropy career
  • Candidates who are racially and ethnically diverse

Nomination and Selection Process
Self-nominations and nominations of others are welcome. All nominations will be considered by the Governance Committee of the MCF Board of Directors, which will recommend a slate of candidates to the membership for election.
