Willmar Area Community Foundation Announces Grant Opportunities

The Willmar Area Community Foundation (WACF) was pleased to announce today the opening of their second round of grants for the 2015-2016 year.  Local programs are encouraged to apply for funding dollars that provide support for capital projects, operations, new and/or expanded programs and other strategic investments that will have a lasting impact on the community.  This grant round will be open until February 15th.  More information concerning this grant round can be found at www.communitygiving.org.
 
This is the second round of grants for WACF in the 2015-2016 fiscal year.  In the first round, WACF awarded $84,700 to 11 local organizations to support such programs as the YMCA Mentor Program and Willmar Area Food Shelf remodel and addition. WACF Executive Director Sara Carlson remarks, “Providing local organizations and projects with funding to support the amazing work they do in our community is part of our core mission.  The Foundation is excited to continue helping our community address critical needs and future possibilities.”
