Minnesota's disaster assistance contingency fund was replenished with a $10 million contribution on September 29, 2017. This funding is critical to making it possible for the state to act quickly when disaster strikes. MCF and a group of ten community foundations pushed for replenishing the fund in response to earlier legislative budget proposals that "zeroed-out" the fund. MCF supports development of a stronger state disaster response system.
