Philanthorpy is asking a lot of questions about what to expect in the political and policy enviornment that has changed dramatically since the November election. The Chronicle of Philanthropy reported on a sense of "worry" about tax reform and charitable giving, investigations into the operations of foundations, lifting of historic limitations on political activity by nonprofits and funding for key safety net programs, including health care. Inside Philanthropy reported similar concerns. Vu Le suggested in a commentary apperaing in the Chronicle that grantmakers may need to adjust how they work with nonprofits (Le, who writes the Nonprofits with Balls blog, will be a featured speaker at MCF's Philanthorpy in Action conference in January)
