Pentair, a diversified global manufacturer, recently announced its eighteenth consecutive year of philanthropic giving by The Pentair Foundation. Community grants totaling more than $750,000 were awarded to 41 organizations representing the regions of the world where Pentair operates—from North America to India and Africa—and are focused on providing services related to water, food and education.

“As a global company with the resources, technologies and values to make a positive impact, we are committed to helping improve the quality of life of people around the world,” said Randall J. Hogan, Chairman and CEO. “The community grant program is one initiative within the Pentair Foundation aimed at supporting the communities where our employees live and work.”

The Pentair Foundation supports the company’s mission of improving the quality of life of people around the world through philanthropic efforts focused on providing greater access to clean, safe water and food, investing in sustainable agriculture to increase food production, promoting STEM education, and supporting the communities where its employees live and work.  It advances these efforts through the community grant giving program, as well as strategic partnerships and employee volunteerism with organizations aligned with these focus areas.

Community grants were awarded to organizations both locally and globally, including Science Buddies, Water for People, Friends of Africa Education, Opportunity International, EPICS, and multiple chapters of the Boys & Girls Clubs.

With operations and offices in the greater Twin Cities, Pentair is pleased to name local organizations including the Minnesota 4-H Foundation, Urban Ventures, the Minneapolis Parks Foundation, Friends of the Mississippi River, Great River Greening, the Nature Conservancy, Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest, Twin Cities Public Television, Dunwoody College of Technology, Science Museum of Minnesota, the Bakken Museum, and the Works Museum among the recipient organizations.

Established in 1998, the Pentair Foundation has donated over $55 million to philanthropic causes, strengthening the communities in which it operates, and providing sustainable solutions for safe, clean water to 3 million people around the developing world. The Pentair Foundation focuses its philanthropic efforts on supporting the communities where our employees live and work, and helping solve some of the world’s biggest challenges, including food, water, and education.
