SAINT PAUL, December 10, 2015 — The Otto Bremer Trust, formerly the Otto Bremer Foundation, has awarded $8,447,908 million in grants as part of its most recent grantmaking cycle.

The Otto Bremer Trust is a private charitable trust, established in 1944 by founder Otto Bremer, a successful banker and community and business leader. OBT is the 92 percent owner of Bremer Bank and also manages a diversified investment portfolio, and the returns on these holdings provide the funding for OBT’s grantmaking, which supports regional and local resources that benefit the communities that are home to Bremer banks.

“The variety of organizations and the diversity of grant requests we are funding is impressive,” said Charlotte S. Johnson, co-CEO and Trustee, OBT. “We are inspired by these organizations who are doing vital work every day in Bremer communities across three states.”
