The Medica Foundation is accepting proposals for three grant programs, beginning February 1, 2023:
1) Behavioral Health:
This funding area seeks proposals for programs that support people of all ages experiencing serious mental illness and chemical addiction recovery. Proposals that creatively or collaboratively build the behavioral health workforce are also of interest.
Individual grants may be awarded up to $70,000
Initial application deadline: March 31, 2023
2) Early Childhood Health:
This funding area seeks proposals for early intervention programs that focus on developing healthy families to foster optimal growth development for children from birth through age 12.
Individual grants may be awarded up to $40,000
Initial application deadline: April 28, 2023
3) Esther Tomljanovich Strategic Initiatives:
This funding area seeks proposals from past grant recipients for larger scale initiatives addressing one of the following areas:
• Healthcare workforce development programs at all levels
• Women’s health: access to prenatal and postpartum care and reproductive health services
• Support for aging health services, dementia and/or Alzheimer’s disease
• Dental programs for youth or adults
• Programs focusing on the intersection of health and stable housing for families
• Collaborative behavioral health projects with system level or community-wide impact
