MCF Submits Written Testimony to House Ways and Means Committee on Tax Reform

On March 27, 2019, the House Ways and Means Committee held a hearing on the '2017 Tax Law and Who It Left Behind.' This hearing presented an opportunity for the independent sector to voice its concerns about the tax law's impact on charitable giving and the cost and burden of the new unrelated business income taxes [UBIT]. MCF submitted  a written statement for consideration by the Committee and for inclusion in the printed record of the hearing. Our statement reiterated some of the key points we made during our Foundations on the Hill visits to the Minnesota Congressional delegation, focusing on tax policy that promotes philanthropy and charitable giving.
