Friday, July 21, 2017

Grotto Foundation, Inc. approved $813,807 in grants to 26 nonprofits serving Minnesota and surrounding states during its most recent fiscal year. Starting in 2016, Grotto Foundation began reevaluating their funding priorities. Prior to then, Grotto Foundation had actively supported Early Childhood Development programs for nearly a decade and Native language revitalization efforts for over 15 years. This fiscal year’s grants represent the completion of the foundation’s focus on Early Childhood Development and Native Language Revitalization. Because the foundation’s Board continues to explore new issue areas, Grotto  is not accepting requests for proposals at this time.

Grotto Foundation, Inc. was established in 1964. For the past 53 years, Grotto has sought to live out its vision of building Community, Family, and Understanding. They do so by investing in organizations that seek to strengthen the health of families and communities in order to better understand one another and work together for the common good.
