A minimum of $400,000 will be disbursed as part of this funding wave. The application for funds will open on April 8, 2020 and close on April 22, 2020 at 5:00pm.
Eligible Focus Areas Include:
- Organizations that have expanded the reach of existing services to support people's immediate needs during the pandemic.
- Organizations that have pivoted or changed their services to support people’s immediate needs during the pandemic.
- Partnerships that are working in collaboration to expand their reach into community to support more people‘s immediate needs during the pandemic.
Priority for Funding:
Priority for funding will be toward nonprofits with unique capabilities to serve vulnerable populations. The following types of organizations will receive priority under this grant opportunity:
- Organizations that serve 50% or more Black, Indigenous or People of Color (BIPOC).
- Organizations that serve a high proportion of indviduals at 200% poverty or below of the Federal Poverty Level.
- Organiztions with a strong focus on those most vulnerable to COVID-19 as defined by the Center for Disease Control & Prevention: older adults (ages 65+), individuals with asthma, HIV or other severe illness.
- Small or medium organizations, defined by GTCUW as organizations with an annual budget between $250,000 - $3,000,000.
