Katina serves on MCF's public policy team, which promotes philanthropy and charitable giving and advocates for prosperity through inclusion and equity at the state and federal level. Katina also oversees MCF’s collaborative philanthropy strategy, bringing members together to strengthen relationships, explore timely topics and issues, and act together. She serves as the program lead for MCF's corporate philanthropy programming and issue-based working groups. She started at MCF in October 2015.

Katina came to MCF from Grassroots Solutions, an engagement strategy firm based in Minneapolis, where she had the opportunity to work with a number of local and national foundations, partnering with them on community engagement efforts, grantmaking initiatives, project planning, policy change efforts, training, facilitation, and assessment and evaluation. She received her Master's of Public Policy from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota in 2011.
