In July of 2021, MCF revealed our new Principles for Philanthropy, formerly known as the Principles for Grantmakers. Built upon a developmental framework, each principle has themes of equity and power sharing woven into it. Recognizing the vast potential for positive impact within philanthropy, the Principles for Philanthropy are offered with a spirit of invitation to commit to growing together.

Join this session to hear from:

  • Erik Torch, Director of Grantmaking, Northland Foundation, and MCF Board Member
  • Heather Logelin, President, St. Croix Valley Foundation and Principles Committee Member
  • Susie Brown, President, MCF

Learn about how and why the principles were developed, and consider your role in applying these principles as we collectively advance prosperity and equity.

Later in the year, MCF will also offer three deep-dive conversations to dig into each of the 8 principles. Join each conversation to advance your learning as we grow together.
