Description: Whether it is understanding of the benefits and drawbacks of various investment strategies, aligning your finance and program teams or reviewing grantee financials, you will leave this program equipped with best practices and valuable connections with other members around the topic of philanthropic finance. The session will feature the following experts:

    • Financial ratios for nonprofit financial review
  • Rick Scott, vice president of finance, The McKnight Foundation
    • Aligning program related investments and traditional grants, grantee financial review
  • Jennifer Tingley, principal, CliftonLarsonAllen
    • The benefits and drawbacks of various investment strategies, what any foundation staff could benefit from knowing for next year’s audit
Following a brief opening panel, the panelists will be available for small group conversations. Participants will be welcome to move through two 30 minute conversations with different panelists.
