The National Growing Community Foundation’s Conference has indeed grown. It’s considered by independent community foundation leaders in Minnesota to be the premiere networking and skills-building conference for staff and board members.

This year’s conference will feature presentations by a number of Minnesota community foundation leaders, including Tim Beaton of Fargo Moorhead Area Foundation, Sara Carlson of Willmar Area Community Foundation, Dean Penk of Golden Valley Community Foundation and others.  MCF’s Bob Tracy will present a workshop on the 2020 Census.

The conference is organized by the Kansas Association of Community Foundations. Visit the conference web site to register.

We want to provide a special networking opportunity and logistical support with ground transportation in Wichita for Minnesota grantmakers who are heading to Wichita.

Dinner: Minnesotans attending the conference will gather for a pre-conference dinner Sunday evening, October 14 from 7 to 9 pm. Dinner will be at Saber Latin Bar and Grill in Oldtown Square, 309 North Mead Street in downtown Wichita. Transportation will be provided to and from dinner. Pick-up at 6:30 pm outside main entrance to the conference hotel.

Shuttle Transit: Most Minnesotans are traveling on a Delta flight arriving on Sunday, October 14 at about noon and leaving on Tuesday, October `16 at 5 pm.  We will provide shuttle transit to the hotel leaving at 12:30 and back to the airport on Tuesday, leaving the hotel at 3:15 pm.  (Additional details will be sent in your registration confirmation and event reminder emails.)

You can register for both the shuttle service and dinner for $75. Registration for the Minnesota dinner is $50.

Who should attend? Community foundation grantmakers attending the National Growing Community Foundation conference.
