Description: Join with mission investing network peers to share what is working and what you’ve learned in developing your organization’s governance and reporting of program and mission-related investments. Allison Barmann, Strategy and Learning Vice President with the Bush Foundation and co-chair of the Mission Investing Network, will moderate a conversation inclusive of foundations of different sizes and foundation types. Attendees are encouraged to bring examples of an investment policy and/or investment report to share as part of this roundtable conversation.
Questions explored will include:
- Does your organization have a document which outlines the foundation’s mission investing strategy?
- Who is responsible for the day to day management and implementation of your mission investing strategy?
- Do you use a consultant for your mission investing strategy?
- Who has oversight over the mission investing strategy?
- How frequently do you report on the strategy to either a committee or the board?
- What metrics are reported?
- What questions have the committee or board asked of staff?
- What lessons would you would like to share
Breakfast and networking will begin at 8 am. Roundtable conversation will kick off at 8:30 am.
