Minnesota Funders Roundtable

Friday, September 24, 2021 9:00am - 10:30am CDT

Co-hosted by The Funders Network & Minnesota Council on Foundations

Are you looking to forge connections, expand your networks, and advance the values of racial equity in your work as a grantmaker?

We invite you to join Minnesota Council on Foundations (MCF) and The Funders Network (TFN) for a virtual Minnesota Funder Roundtable.

We are bringing together funders from across the state to learn more about the issues affecting Minnesota’s people and places, build relationships and find opportunities to collaborate. We’ll also explore the ways our networks can help support, align and amplify the efforts to create sustainable, prosperous and just communities.

Participants will be able to:

  • Learn about TFN and its nationwide network while advancing shared race, equity and inclusion goals.

  • Share their priorities with The Funders Network, helping identify ways the network of national, regional and place-based funders can amplify and align with the goals of Minnesota funders and MCF.

  • Learn about opportunities to support local sustainability and climate action projects that strengthen partnerships between place-based funders, local governments and frontline community-led groups.

  • Learn about professional development opportunities with TFN, including a year-long fellowship for professionals in philanthropy to better understand issues of race, equity and inclusiveness — and to then translate those skills and knowledge in to their grantmaking practices.
