Are you working on an issue but aren’t sure where to find data? Perhaps you’re applying for a grant to support broadband access for specific populations in rural Minnesota. Or maybe you are looking to determine how many people in a county bike to work? Maybe you want a demographic breakdown of who lives in your city. American Community Survey (ACS) and census data can help answer these questions.

Using the renters tax credit as an example, we’ll demonstrate how data can help elevate your advocacy efforts. We’ll go through where to find the data and what tools are available for public use. Presenters will also share how they’re using data in conjunction with the Racial Equity Impact Assessment tool  to center historically underrepresented communities in policy.

Come learn how and where you can access ACS and census data to use in your community efforts. We encourage everyone to come prepared with examples and questions as we want to help ensure you have access to the data you need.
