In order for Minnesota’s philanthropic community to have the greatest impact, we need knowledge and insights about the nonprofit sector. This will be the second State of the Nonprofit Sector conversation in 2020. During our first conversation in February, the state was an entirely different place. In October, we’ll gather again to dig into the latest data and to gain an understanding of short-term and long-term trends that are impacting the current conditions and future health of the sector. We’ll examine details about nonprofit finance and funding including sector changes, employment statistics, and trends impacting the missions of our state’s charitable organizations. Bring your insights and questions as we engage in a robust conversation about the current state of the nonprofit sector.
This virtual conversation will be led by Kate Barr, President, Propel Nonprofits; and Jon Pratt, Executive Director, and Kari Aanestad, Director of Advancement, Minnesota Council of Nonprofits (MCN). Together, they bring vast experience leading nonprofit organizations, guiding the sector’s growth, and promoting public engagement in the charitable sector. Susie Brown, MCF President, will moderate the conversation.
