Join MCF for our 2019 public policy retreat that will focus on Federal Tax Reform and the Future for Charitable Giving and Philanthropy

Launching our work at the retreat will be a conversation with Congressman Dean Phillips, newly-elected representative of Minnesota’s Third Congressional district and co-chair of the Jay & Rose Phillips Family Foundation.  The Congressman is interested in participating in a formative conversation to begin the process of shaping what tax policy needs to look like to support our vision for the future of charitable giving and philanthropy.

At this retreat we aim to:

  1. Understand the 2017 federal tax law and how it is impacting MCF members
  2. Explore the intersection of MCF’s two public policy goals – promoting philanthropy and charitable giving AND creating prosperity through equity and inclusion
  3. Solicit strategic guidance on how MCF’s tax policy positions should evolve to respond to the 2017 tax law and support a shared vision for the future of charitable giving and philanthropy

This retreat is open to all MCF members. Members of MCF’s public policy committee, MCF’s working groups, and any other interested members are strongly encouraged to attend. Lunch will be served at the retreat and is generously being provided by Cargill.
