Join your MCF member peers to address the evolving community needs emerging due to coronavirus. MCF is hosting all-member calls, for the purpose of sharing updates and best practices, understanding community needs, and considering ways we can work together in this unprecedented time.

On this call, we’ll focus on the topic of developing an Integrated Capital Approach. The conversation will offer a broad-based approach for philanthropy to support communities during times of crisis. An integrated capital approach combines a vision for a short-term response alongside the long-term recovery from the pandemic.

We'll consider various ways that the philanthropic community can put dollars to work to support our communities through avenues such as PRIs and below market rate investments. Program Related Investments (PRIs) alongside grant contributions can demonstrate a strategic decision to increase community support beyond a 5% payout.

Presenters will include Kate Barr, President and CEO, Propel Nonprofits; Susan Hammel, MCF Impact Investing Executive in Residence; Bao Vang, President, Hmong American Partnership; and Matt Varilek, President, Initiative Foundation.

Specific topics for future calls will be determined as this situation develops, and community needs are understood, with guidance from the Disaster Philanthropy Working Group, and the Center for Disaster Philanthropy. Log-in information will be in your confirmation email. This call will be recorded and posted on the MCF website.
