Description: Join us for a meeting of the Corporate Community Affairs Professionals Network where we’ll focus on best practices for linking corporate philanthropy with broader corporate sustainability initiatives.

At this February meeting, we’ll hear from Susan Hammel, MCF’s Executive in Residence who has had a long career in corporate philanthropy. A key part of her residency has focused on learning about what corporations are doing to increase their impact in the community. From corporate philanthropy to supply chains to employee engagement and sustainability initiatives, many corporations are working to figure out how to use all the tools available to them to maximize their impact. Susan will share what she’s learned on this important topic during her time at MCF, along with the continuum of practices she’s seen as corporate foundations think about whether and how they can connect to the broader corporate social responsibility work of their companies. Susan’s brief presentation is meant to spark a group conversation on this topic, with plenty of time to ask questions and share how you are thinking about this in the context of your organization.

This network is for MCF members who work in corporate philanthropy and are interested in discussing the unique issues and opportunities of corporate grantmaking. Corporate Community Affairs Professionals Network meetings generally take the form of informal learning from one another around a pre-determined discussion topic, with space on the agenda for updates and other timely discussion. This is a member-only meeting.

Breakfast, coffee and tea will be provided at the meeting.
