Despite today’s strong economic indicators, too many families in our country lack the financial means to cover their basic needs. As philanthropic services and economic development dollars pour into programs that seek to give low income communities of color a leg up, wealth disparities continue to grow worse than ever.

The Boston Impact Initiative is a place-based integrated capital fund focused on closing the racial wealth divide in one of America’s most unequal cities. Founder and President Deborah Frieze will share stories and practices from her efforts to deploy both philanthropic and investment capital to create asset-building opportunities for entrepreneurs and communities of color.

Join us for a fireside chat with our own Executive in Residence, Susan Hammel, who will interview Deborah about the innovative solution she’s pioneered in Boston.
