Impact Investing Network: Where Does Your Cash Sleep at Night?

Monday, November 15, 2021 10:00am - 11:30am CST

Join your Impact Investing Peer Network colleagues for a beginner-level conversation about your institution’s cash. We’ll discuss how to decide where to park your cash, how to align your institutional mission with your banking, and how to align your banking with your organizational values. We’ll also explore ways to do impact investing with your cash. Plus, we’ll have time for your questions and conversation topics.

Some of the themes of the conversation will include:

  • How can you identify banks making a positive, measurable impact in their communities?
  • How do you distinguish between "greenwashing" or corporate PR from authentic impact?
  • How do DEI values play out in a banking environment given the financial industry is dominated by white men?
  • How do community banks and commercial banks differ when it comes to impact investing?

The Impact Investing Peer Network covers the full range of mission investing conversation topics including below market to market rate investing. This conversation will be hosted by our co-chairs – Donna Dalton, Executive Director, Mortenson Family Foundation and Daniel Lemm, Chief Financial Officer, Blandin Foundation – along with Susan Hammel, MCF Executive in Residence for Impact Investing.

This is an MCF members-only briefing. Log-in details will be provided in your confirmation email. If you have questions about this meeting, please contact Paul Masiarchin,
