The Minnesota Food Funders Network recently commissioned a study to better understand the food funding landscape in Minnesota. The study focused its analysis in three areas:

  1. food systems funding patterns, to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities
  2. a policy scan, to inform food funders and anticipate shifts in state and/or federal food-related funding and priorities, and
  3. a review of aligned funding models, to explore successful models in other regions.

This study was conducted by Terra Soma, LLC, and the briefing will be presented by Terra Soma’s CEO and Founder, Margaret Adamek, PhD. At this briefing, Maggi will focus on the food systems funding patterns we are seeing in Minnesota today and the state and federal shifts food funders should be anticipating and planning to respond to in the near future. Discussion and Q&A will follow the briefing.

This funder issue briefing will provide an overview of the results of this study; the study will also be made publicly available after the briefing. This is a funder-only briefing; all funders are invited to participate.
