Family Foundation Professionals Network

Wednesday, August 5, 2020 11:00am - 12:00pm CDT

Join us for a meeting of the Family Foundation Professionals Network.

During this webinar, we will discuss current issues around how our organizations are impacted by and responding to the pandemic, the economic recession and the movement for Black lives. We'll start the conversation hearing from Patrick Troska, President, The Jay & Rose Phillips Family Foundation of Minnesota. Patrick will share an update about how The Jay & Rose Phillips Family Foundation of Minnesota is shifting some of its work, given the current needs of communities.

After Patrick's kick-off framing, we'll engage with the full group to hear how others are shifting in the current environment. Attendees should plan ahead by bringing questions, concerns and promising ideas to share with peers. Discussion themes may include:

  • Changes in your organization’s grantmaking
  • Response and recovery
  • Personal well-being and mental health
  • Navigating the response of corporate philanthropy within a complex business
  • Other related topics
  • The conversation will be led by attendees; plan to be actively engaged and use your webcam, as you’re able. Log-in details will be available in your confirmation email.

This network is for MCF members who work at family foundations and are interested in discussing the unique issues and opportunities of family foundations. Family Foundation Professionals Network meetings generally take the form of informal learning from one another around a pre-determined discussion topic, with space on the agenda for updates and other timely discussion. This is a member-only meeting. Do you have suggestions for future meetings? Send them to Kristen at!
