Join us for a meeting of the Corporate Community Affairs Professionals Network where we’ll focus on how corporate funders participate in funders collaboratives. In this meeting the group will explore questions such as:
- How can corporations fully engage in funders collaboratives?
- What are the opportunities and challenges in doing so?
- What are the best practices or key strategies for engaging in a way that is valuable to both the collaborative and the company?
- How are Minnesota corporate funders currently engaged in collaboratives, and what can we learn from them?
Anil Hurkadli and Kelsey Midthun from Thrivent Financial alongside JoAnn Birkholz from Medica Foundation will kick-off the discussion by sharing about their experiences engaging with funders collaboratives as a corporate funder. Their remarks are meant to spark a larger group conversation on the topic of corporate participation in funders collaboratives, with plenty of time to ask questions and share how you are thinking about this in the context of your organization.
This network is for MCF members who work in corporate philanthropy and are interested in discussing the unique issues and opportunities of corporate grantmaking. Corporate Community Affairs Professionals Network meetings generally take the form of informal learning from one another around a pre-determined discussion topic, with space on the agenda for updates and other timely discussion. This is a member-only meeting.
Light snacks, coffee and tea will be provided at the meeting.
