Briefing with the Attorney General’s Office – Understanding Current Regulations and Resources for Charities in Minnesota

The relationship between nonprofit organizations and the Attorney General’s office is unique and important.  As the state’s charity regulator, the Attorney General’s office provides critical oversight and helpful tools, resources and data, ultimately building public trust for our sector’s work. Join staff from the Charities Division of the Attorney General’s office to learn more about their role, how they interact with nonprofits and foundations, what compliance activities are required, how to engage them for assistance, and the policy changes they are considering that would impact the charitable sector. 

Nonprofits and foundations count on the Attorney General’s charities division as a resource, and we are accountable to them for public reporting—join the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits, the Minnesota Council on Foundations, and Charities Division staff to learn more. Nonprofit and foundation staff working in finance and administration, development, grants management, public policy, and executive roles are particularly encouraged to attend.
